On Saturday, October 13th, 2018 from 6PM to 9PM, after a decade long absence, the Stony Plain Rd. Business Association is inviting you to celebrate the community and the local film industry at their very own "Storefront Cinema Nights" street festival.
A variety of films and artists, curated by FAVA and the National Film Board, will be projected onto six storefronts between 151 Street and 156 Street. Live entertainment, street performers, projection mapping, live digital graffiti, activities, and food trucks will be featured throughout the area.
Take part in Revolution Cycle’s "Light-Up Bike Contest” and late-night bike ride kicking off at 7:30 PM. Light up your bike for a chance to win a $150.00 Revolution Cycle shopping spree and more! After the winner has been crowned, all bikes and riders will head out on a late-night ride throughout the festival site.
Bask in the festivities of the Beverage Gardens located behind the Jasper Place Hotel, enjoy “Jumanji – Welcome to the Jungle” on our large format outdoor movie screen, treat yourself to local eats and treats, illuminate your night with creative installations, get cozy ‘round the fire, enjoy a wagon ride or two, or try your hand at our LED Throwies toss.
Grab your blankets, grab your lawn chairs, grab some of your favorite people, and take in this cinematic street party in one of Edmonton’s coolest neighbourhoods!
The festival is free to attend and everyone is welcome!
